Nikki Turner
I’m Nichelle “Nikki” Turner, a Jersey girl for most of my adult life. I have worked with many non-profit organizations and start-up companies throughout my professional career. After 20 years in law enforcement, I retired and found a passion for real estate. Through real estate, and a lifelong love of design, I discovered the art of staging and redesign. I became a certified stager through CSP and completed projects for family, friends and exclusively for a real estate investor in the Philadelphia Metro Area. I moved from New Jersey to Maryland in 2015 and landed at one of the top staging companies in the DMV area. Being a quick learner, I picked up on all aspects of the business. Quickly moving from Staging Assistant to Business Manager and eventually COO. I was the go-to person for not just business management but finances, logistics, operations, sales/marketing and of course, design. My real pride and joy are my twin daughters with whom I have a close relationship with. My plans are to continue to help others using my knowledge and expertise while finding other platforms to showcase my extensive skill set.
Sharlene Lewter-Flood
As a North Carolina native, I spent most of my adult life residing in the Washington D.C. area. My expansive career in the television industry as a writer/ producer was the road map to my project management skills and creative expression through writing and commercial production. In addition to television advertising, I had a burning desire to absorb the world of design. I honed my decorating skills by practicing in the homes of friends and family. The love for design later transferred itself into whimsical murals and playful furniture and decor showcased in daycare centers and kid's rooms. Child's Play Designs, a home-based business created in 2014, was the starting point toward the road of entrepreneurship. From there, the opportunity arose to expand and cultivate my design skill set through home staging in real estate. I learned the business inside and out, wearing the hats of stager, designer, marketing expert, new services program developer, social media manger and sales director. Here is where learning every moving part and all intricacies of a small business paid off. In my free time, I spend time with my two children, Mason and Maya. I also enjoy music, the creative arts, and exercise.
